This is one post in a series of getting up and running with Home Assistant from scratch. Today we are going to make our Home Assistant deployment a bit smarter by adding in presence detection. This tracker discovers new devices on boot and tracks Bluetooth devices periodically based on interval_seconds value. It is not required to pair the devices with each other! PIDs with pre-installed tubes, detector tubes, chip measurement systems, and selective evaluation of benzene in measurement la-boratories are all suitable for clearance in areas such as tanks and other confined containers or rooms. The combination of a PID and detector tube is a cost-effective me-thod.
Jun 21, 2018 · The WeMo plugs are automatically detected by HassIO. Presence detection on when I’m home is a bit trickier. I will try a few methods to get this at 100%. My device detection of choice is to use a Bayesian Binary Sensor which puts a weighted probability on the different methods I end up using for location tracking.
